Privacy Policy
The short version: Vision Board is your private reference library. What you save goes only into your own library — on your computer, or in your own account. We don't sell data, we don't share it with third parties, and we don't run ads or analytics trackers.
What this covers
This policy covers the Vision Board app (desktop and app.visionboard.photos) and the Vision Board Clipper browser extension, operated by The Lightroom Academy / Clifford Pickett ("we").
What the Clipper extension collects
- Content you choose to save. When you right-click an image or import an article, the extension sends that image, the page's title, and its URL to your Vision Board library — and nowhere else. In desktop mode that is the app running on your own computer (localhost). In cloud mode it is your own account on Vision Board's backend.
- Sign-in (cloud mode only, optional). If you sign in, your email and password are sent only to Vision Board's own backend (Supabase) to create your session. A session token is stored in the extension's local storage so you stay signed in. The extension never sees or stores your password after sign-in.
- Settings. Your chosen mode and local app port are stored in the extension's storage on your device.
The extension contains no analytics, no trackers, no ads, and loads no remote code. It does not read your browsing history and does nothing on pages until you invoke it.
What the app stores
- Your library: images you save, and the titles, notes, tags, and locations attached to them.
- Your account: email address and display name, used to sign you in and identify your library.
- Billing: if you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only your subscription status.
- Analysis: to title, tag, and locate a saved image, the image is processed by an AI analysis service and public geocoding services (e.g. Photon/OpenStreetMap for place lookups). The results are stored in your library only.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data. Ever.
- We do not share your library with third parties or other users.
- We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness.
- We do not use your images to train AI models.
Your control
You can delete any item from your library at any time. To delete your account and all its data, email us and we'll do it promptly. Desktop-mode libraries live entirely on your own computer and never touch our servers.
